Now when I gave my heart to Christ as a junior at ORU in 1968, I lived in the dormitory, when I gave my heart to Christ, I felt what I would describe then—I know better how to describe it now—as something in my belly.

Most of you, I’m sure, will remember when you gave your heart to Christ, you felt something here.  Why here?  Because this is where you feel things.  I’m talking about on the inside.  When you have an experience of something that feels good or something that feels bad, where do you feel it?  You don’t feel it here.  You feel it right here.  You feel it in what we would call in the natural our solar plexus area, in our innermost being.

This is where you feel things.  When you feel joy, you feel it right here.  When you feel sadness, you feel it right here.  This is the feeling area.  This is where you feel things in your life.  This is your innermost being.

This is what Jesus was talking about, “Out of your innermost being,” right here where you feel things, you’re going to feel—Caleb, that was no reflection on your last name, okay?  His last name is Feeley.  That’s the area where you feel things, the feeley area.  Okay, it is your last name.  This is where you feel things, okay?

And Jesus was speaking of that.  Okay.  So when I got saved, the first thing I felt was, I felt something right here.  Well, that was the Holy Spirit.

All right, didn’t I give you the scripture earlier that when you got saved, the Holy Spirit came in and bore witness with your spirit that you were born again?  And doesn’t that tie with what I taught you last week, the fact that you don’t have to go and get the Holy Spirit.  Once you’re a Christian, you already have Him, because He came in on the day you got saved.

You can sit there, and you can say, and you can pray, and you can preach, but it’s time for you to BE the message.  Because I’ll tell you something, the Harry Potters of the earth are doing it.  The witchcraft of the earth is doing it.  The Hollywood of the earth is doing it.

The only ones that aren’t being what they’re called to be, as an entire group, is Christians.  You know the song, “Let the church be the church?”  How many of you’ve got the guts to do it?

I’m going to step out on a limb today, and I’m going to lay hands on people.  And I’m going to become contagious.  If you want what I’m spreading, come and get it.  Because I’ll tell you what, we’re spreading the healing virtue of Almighty God.

OK, you come direct.  How do you want it?  Line them up, guys.  You direct. RR: This is how we’re going to do it this morning.  Come into the aisles.  The ushers are going to direct you.  I’m going to ask them to begin to take the things off this platform. We’re going to lift these curtains.  There is a contagion.  Say that with me: There is a contagion.

I’m not talking about the kind of contagion that comes in with sickness.  I’m talking about the kind of contagion that comes in with healing.  The kind that comes in with an impartation.

Take these curtains out of here.  We’ve got it prepared this morning to lay hands on everyone who has a need of healing. Anyone who has a need of an impartation.  Anyone who needs a touch of the Holy Spirit.

We’re going to have lines, the ushers are going to direct you in a few minutes” time.  And Lindsay’s going to start, and I’m going to start.  There’s not going to be a formal dismissal for this service.  When we lay hands on you, that’s the end of the conference.  Because there’s nothing left to do at that point.  We will have done what the Lord has ordered for us to do.

Now listen to me very carefully.  Before the foundation of the earth, God knew you, He formed you, and He ordained you.  You have been known, you have been formed, you have been sanctified, and you have been ordained.  Now what are you doing with it? Let’s find out.

“And I said, “Oh, Lord God!”  That was the Lindsay Roberts version of exactly what happened in my life. He said, “Ah, Lord God!”

When my father-in-law told me what he expected out of me in this ministry, my response was, “Oh, Lord God!”

“Behold, I cannot speak, for I am yet a child.  and the Lord said unto me, “Don’t say you’re a child.  For you shall go where I send you.  And whatsoever I command you, you shall speak.  And be not afraid of their faces.?”

If ever my name was written in Scripture.  I want you to know that I wear glasses.  And I refuse to look at you through my glasses, so I don’t have to see you. Be not afraid of their faces!  I am not dumb when it comes to that Scripture.

“For I am with you. I’ll deliver you.”  And the bottom line is, so you can deliver them.

He said, “The Lord put forth His hand and touched my mouth,  and the Lord said unto me, “Behold, I put My Words in your mouth.?”

Oral Roberts wrote this: “Of the four major prophets, Isaiah, Ezekiel, Daniel, and Jeremiah, Jeremiah is the most moved by Israel’s backsliding and captivity.  He almost literally wept his eyes out.  His preaching so upset people that once they threw him into a well to stop his mouth, but he cried, “I have a fire shut up in my bones.” I have a fire shut up in my bones!  I’m contagious today, and I’m daring you to catch it!

“All he knew about God and felt in his spirit flowed out, almost mixed with tears.  He was always known as the weeping prophet.

And it’s time we stop giving the message and start being the message.  Over in John 17, I’m going to prove how we can do it. And the first time I read this, I said, “This is heresy.  I can’t do this.  I can’t even say this.”

This is me speaking, and my mama knows me – I was the kid in school who never said two words.  I was the proverbial wall flower;  I was a bookworm.  I lived, ate, slept, and absorbed books.  I was the bookworm of the universe.  I loved knowledge; I loved reading.  My heart’s desire was to go to law school.  I came here to Oral Roberts University to go law school.  I loved to not just read books; I loved to memorize books.  God has given me a gift to memorize things.  And I would take Scriptures and memorize them.

And I would devour’ my mom would find me night after night, telling me to go to bed.  And I don’t know how she ever figured this out until I got older and realized, boy, was this one dumb.

I’d read my book, and she’d tell me, “Go to bed; you cannot read any more.”  And I’d go to bed, and I’d put the covers up over my head, and I’d take a flashlight, just to get to read more.”  And I never figured out how she knew.  Duhh!  The light was shining through the blanket, dumb-dumb!  But that was my heart’s desire was to read and to read and to read and to absorb.

But I began to realize that was not the end product of what God had for me.  I was not what I labeled myself.  The geek,  reakazoid, brain, wall flower that could not open my mouth to speak.

LR: Well, good morning.  Hallelujah!  Hallelujah!  Thank you. Father God, in the name of Jesus, I ask that You completely and totally empty me of myself.  God, I might decrease so that You might increase.  Lord God, You know better than anybody that I can’t do this.  But I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.  Therefore, I can do this, and I ask You to shut me up and fill me with Your Word.

Anything and everything You want to say, You want to do, You want to perform today, I give You permission to work through us and in us so that lives would be forever changed.  In Jesus” name.  Amen.  Amen.  Amen.

I’m so grateful my mother and my mother-in-law are here. I’m so blessed.  Hallelujah.  And I’m so grateful you’re here. Because today is an unusual day.  Today I got up, and I said,  ”Help me, Jesus.” You know some people get up – you know how Joyce was talking yesterday – and they just jump out of bed and say, “Good morning, Lord.”  And then there’s Lindsay that says, “Good Lord!  It’s morning.”  And I’ll tell you my husband is Mr. Sunshine, Mr. Bubble, and I’m like, excuse me for saying this, but, “Be quiet!”

And yet, you know what?  Twenty-five years later, he’s still Mr. Bubble, and I absolutely love it, and I thank you for that every day of my life.  I appreciate that.

Yesterday – can I have that bag?  Yesterday I had this wonderful message planned; I had it typed out, I even had it hole-punched and put in a book.  Notice, I didn’t bring it.  And I worked hard on that message.  And, you know, it was a very nice message actually.  And the Lord changed the message.

Now let’s have another demonstration.  I want this section right here to stand up, this section.  Let’s have everybody stand.  Let’s everybody stand.  Let’s have another demonstration.  This is what the disciples did.  They said, “Is any sick among you?  Let them call on the elders and let them pray, and the prayer of faith will save the sick and the Lord will raise them up.”  Then He said, “Pray one for another that you may be healed.”

Now turn and lay hands on someone next to you.  Turn.  Lay your hand on them.  Speak to the sickness and disease.  Speak to the problem.  Speak to the fear.  Speak to the doubt and command it to come out in Jesus’ name.  Just begin praying right now.  Begin praying, everybody.

Father, in Jesus’ name, I lay hands on this person.  I release my faith, and I believe for this person to be healed, in Jesus’ name.

Now look at me.  Just remain standing for a moment.  This is another Bible demonstration.  Now let me ask a question, how many could say, “I felt the touch of God when this person next to me touched me.”  Put your hand up if you felt the touch of God when someone touched you.  Put your hand up.  There’s several hundred hands.  It didn’t take very long, did it?  It’s not how short or how long.  It’s do you believe when you pray?  You may be seated.

This is a method of healing, and it was tailor-made for the church, tailor-made for the church.  Can you imagine what would happen in churches around the world if this were done every Sunday, where the pastor had people turn for two minutes and pray?  Can you imagine the miracles that would be testified to?  That’s a method of healing.  Hallelujah!

Richard Roberts – Now number three is speaking the word.  The Roman centurion said, “You don’t have to come to my home.  You just speak the word.”  Some people prefer to say “send the word.”  That comes from Psalm l07:20, “He sent his word and healed them and delivered them from their destruction.”

Are you listening to me tonight?  The biggest mistake I see Christians make is, they do not sow unto the Lord.  Or if they do, they do it grudgingly.  Their heart is not in it.

If I have $100 and I give $10 to God, I will have only $90 left.  Well, that’s true in the natural, but God says $90 with God will go farther than $100 without God.  It is a Bible principle.

And the biggest mistake I see Christians making today is, they do not learn how to make their life a seed.  I’m not talking about the size of the seed.  I’m talking about a seed, no matter what the size, big or small.  It is a seed, and it represents you.

When you sow unto the Lord, when you give of your love, of your time, of your money, of your prayers, of your smile, of a pat on the back, that is a good seed that you’re sowing.  And you have a Bible right to expect God to use that seed and multiply it back to you.

Are you listening to me tonight?  The biggest mistake I see Christians making today is, they do not give with joy.  Because in their hearts they believe that if they give, they will be diminished.  They will be less.  And they give grudgingly, and they give out of necessity.  And they don’t expect to receive from God.

Many of you are facing great needs.  Some of you are facing needs in your body.  Some of you are facing needs in your family.  Some of you are facing needs in your finances.  Some of you need a job.  You need work.  Some of you are hurting.  You need to be a seed sower, because God can only multiply what we give to Him.

Richard Roberts – I learned how to sow when I was a boy.  I learned it from my father and from the Word of God.  I learned to give God my best and then to ask Him for His best.  And God teaches us that in the Word of God.

And that anointing is on me to teach His Word and to teach you about the faith that you already have.  For God has given you the measure of faith.  You don’t have to get faith.  You’ve already got it.  All you need to do is take that faith and believe.

Tonight is the night for you to believe.  Tonight is the night to set your doubts aside.  Tonight is the night to trust Him and watch Him work His miracle power.

The book of Matthew says that Jesus saw a great crowd.  He was moved with compassion, and He brought healing to their sick.  What is compassion?  Compassion is an irresistible urge to rid the problem.  That compassion is in me.  I cannot see a sick person without wanting to pray for them.  That is in me.  It’s always been in me.  I feel it tonight.  I feel it coming in me toward you.

He was moved with compassion.  Not sympathy.  Sympathy is different than compassion.  Sympathy is, “I’m so sorry.  I wish there was something I could do.”  But it doesn’t say He had sympathy.  He had compassion.  Compassion makes you want to reach in and pull the problem out.  He was moved with compassion, and He healed their sick.

One day a woman touched the border of His garment.  She said, “If I can only touch His clothing, I know I’ll be healed.”  Jesus whirled around and said, “Somebody touched me.”  “No, she touched your clothing.”  “No, she touched me.  I felt the virtue, the power go out of me.”

The woman said, “If I can only touch His clothing, I know I’ll be healed.”  And when she touched His robe, the power in Him went into her, and she was healed by the power of God.

One day an army captain came to Jesus.  He said, “My military aide is grievously sick.”  Jesus said, “I will come and heal him.”  The army captain said, “It’s not necessary for you to come to my home, for I also am a man under authority.  And I speak to my soldiers and tell them to do something, and they do it.  But, Jesus, I recognize that You have authority above all authority.  And You don’t have to come.  You just speak the word.  You send the word, and my military aide will be healed.”

Richard Roberts – And the Bible says that Jesus marveled.  Why did He marvel?  This man was not a Jew.  This man was not a member of the synagogue.  This man was a Roman.  He was an army captain.  He didn’t know anything about God, and yet he knew more than all the others put together.

He said, “When I pray, you tell your faith to get up to God.”  Now I was ten years old.  He prayed, and he came to a part of the prayer where he said, “Now release your faith.”  And I said, “Faith, get up there to God.  Get up, get up, get up.”

Sounds silly to the human mind.  And the older I get, the better it sounds.  “Faith, in the name of Jesus, I release you, and I expect to receive my miracle.”  Sounds better every day.

I looked at my hand.  Every growth was still there.  He said, “Now we’ve prayed, and we’ve believed.  Now let’s expect something to happen.”

The next morning I awakened, looked at my hand.  They were still there.  The next morning they were still there.  The next morning they were still there.  Each morning I awakened with an expectancy they were going to be gone.

Ten mornings later I awakened one morning and looked at my hands.  Every one was gone!  Every one!

Now listen to me, my friends of Paris, I got more than a healing.  I learned how to use my faith.  In a few moment’s time I’m going to begin to pray for your healing.  How does it happen?  It happens when we release our faith.  When I pray this morning, you’re going to feel something leaping in your heart.  That is your faith.  That will not be the devil.  That will be God.  He will be moving in your heart.

Richard Roberts – Now what’s the key word?  In the Old Testament it was, “Thus saith the Lord.”  But in the New Testament, it’s “In Jesus’ name.”  So in the computer world today, we talk about passwords.  And God has a password.  The password is “In Jesus’ name.”  It’s in His name.  It’s in the name of Jesus.  It’s not our name.  It’s not our circumstances.  It’s not our power.  It’s God’s power.

Now have you all received a healing?  Yes.  Received a healing, yes?  What happened to you?  The pain is gone?

What happened to you?

INT:  Shoulder, pain is gone.

RR: Hallelujah!  What happened to you?

INT: The pain in the neck.

RR: What happened to you?

INT: The pain is gone.

RR: Walk now.  Hallelujah!  What happened to you?

INT: Accident for one year, terrible pain in the shoulder, pain this morning, and now no pain.

RR: Move your shoulder.

INT: And healing in the leg also.

RR: And the leg.  What happened to you?

INT: Right knee.  She had glaucoma, and she felt something move in her eye.  She moved her glasses, and she can see everybody now.

RR: Look out there.

INT: Pain in the fingers and the pain is gone.  You see, she had pain there, and the pain is gone.

RR: What happened to you?

INT: Pain in her leg, much better.  She had pain.

RR: The pain is gone?

INT: The pain is going out.

RR: Going out.

INT: Going out.

RR: The rest of it just leave, in Jesus’ name.  Just shake it out.  What happened?

INT: Pain in the neck, coming into the shoulder is gone.  Problem with the ankle, was swollen.  She has less pain . . .

RR: May the rest of it go in Jesus’ name.  What happened to you?

WOMAN: As I was coming, I forgot to take some medication . . . I came all the way from Amsterdam to come here.

RR: Came from Amsterdam.  What happened to you?

INT: Each time I was coming to sit on the chair, all the back pain.

RR: I walked by her.  This is the woman I touched in the aisle.

INT: She’s the one, yes.

RR: And how’s your back now?

INT: Now gone.  Hallelujah!  Glory!

RR: What happened to you?

WOMAN: For the past two weeks I’ve been having pains here . . . from my shoulder.

RR: The pain is gone now?

WOMAN: Yes.

RR: Where are you from?

WOMAN: Nigeria.

RR: What part of Nigeria?

WOMAN: (Inaudible)

Richard Roberts: I was in Ibadan this last year.  Do you know where Ibadan is?  (No)  You don’t know where Ibadan is, way up north, yeah.  I was there.  Huge crusade.  What happened?
