Jesus’ Name by Richard Roberts
RR: Dr. Abiara, I’m honored to be here tonight. I am overwhelmed by what I’ve seen, and I thank God. This is Nigeria’s finest hour. I want to thank you and all of these sponsoring ministers. The Holy Spirit is a gentleman. He goes where He is invited. I am also a gentleman, and I go where I am invited. And I thank you for inviting me to Ibadan. Amen.
Tonight I look like I’m Nigerian. Tonight I am becoming an honorary Nigerian. Stand on your feet with me. Take your handkerchief and wave unto the Lord. Hallelujah! We give You praise. We give You honor. We give You glory. We thank You that You are here today, that You’re still in the saving business, You’re still in the healing business, You’re still in the miracle business. You never changed. You’re the same yesterday, today, and forever. And we give You praise, in Jesus’ name, amen. Amen. Hallelujah! Amen. You may be seated.
I wish my wife were here to see this tonight. I wish my daughters were here to see this tonight, to see this stadium filled and to know that tonight is a night to pray for Nigeria. But how do we pray for Nigeria? What do we do tonight to prepare the way for the healings, for the miracles?
As I was sitting here tonight and as we were worshipping the Lord, God gave me a scripture. It is not the scripture that I planned to preach on tonight, but as I sat there, God gave me a different scripture.
He said, “Don’t preach what you had planned.” And He directed me to Philippians, chapter 2, where the Bible says, “God has highly exalted the name of Jesus, and he has given him a name which is above every name named in heaven and earth, and that at that name every knee should bow and every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.”
