Word of Knowledge by Richard Roberts

Well, I don’t like to see people abuse their body.I don’t either. It’s the only one we’ve got. And cigarette smoking is the that’s right and have you noticed that you live in your body seven days a week, 24 hours a
day?

You know, people panic when they get sick, but they don’t realize that all along they can do something to take care of their body. You can’t just, God said He wished we’d prosper and be in health. That means in a continuous, continual state of good health, rather than get sick and get an instant healing and get sick and get an instant healing. I don’t think that’s how He set our bodies up. I think He wanted our bodies to continuously live in a state of health. And that requires our job, our work. You need to exercise and take care of yourself.

Well. Dear Richard Roberts, as I was watching your program I decided to see just how much money I was spending on cigarettes. I was shocked when it totaled $37.50 a month. So I rounded it off to an even $40. I’m quitting and I’ll be sending you that money as a Seed-Faith gift every month. Praise God. Her lungs will thank her.

And use it in whatever way you need it the most. Well, praise God. We’ll put it into the healing ministry. Lindsay, there are testimonies here. Here’s a call from Dearborn, Michigan. As we prayed with the Abundant Life Prayer Group prayer partners, the pain in my left ankle, all Louisiana, and this happened during the program yesterday. Here’s is Kevin Gaston out of New Orleans, Louisiana.

Kevin said, “Richard Roberts had a word of knowledge on the program yesterday someone’s ear was being healed and my ear has been healed right during the program. (Praise God) Here’s a call here from Tulsa. “Richard had a word of knowledge about someone hurting in the back of their neck and across the back of their shoulders. That was me. God healed all my pain. My neck and my shoulders are free from pain and I’ve not had a pain since you prayed.” Praise God for that.

By the way, if you have a prayer request, I urge you to step to your
phone and call the Abundant Life Prayer Group, area code 918-495-7777. The Abundant Life Prayer Group is on duty right now, seven days a week, 24 hours a day. They’re ready to pray for you.

Your Body is the Temple of the Holy Spirit by Richard Roberts

Your Body is the Temple of the Holy Spirit by Richard Roberts

And, Lindsay, I, Richard Roberts, have a wonderful letter that I received from a woman in Bradenton, Florida. “Dear Richard Roberts, watching you for the first time and wondering if it was all real. I soon found out it was truly the working of the Holy Spirit. You said thatsomeone’s right wrist was being healed. I had my right wrist injured by falling on it. I’d been believing for the healing of my wrist, but I had not had anyone pray for it.

As soon as you prayed and spoke out that word of knowledge, I started to twist my wrist–how do you like that, twist my wrist–all around. How I cried with joy at having no pain. I had to use my left hand for many tasks before, but now my wrist is completely healed. Enclosed is my Seed-Faith gift for $10. (Praise God) Now listen to this. Thank you for an uplifting, Holy Spirit-filled, down-to-earth and up-to-heaven program. Say that again. Thank you for an uplifting, Holy Spirit-filled, down-to-earth and up-to-heaven program. I like that.

I like that. Lindsay says, it’s the greatest program on television. Keep
going. Well, I give God the glory. We don’t take the glory. We give Jesus Christ the glory for the miracle in your wrist. (That’s right) And the other day someone had asked me if I would pray for people who wanted to give up cigarette smoking, Lindsay, and we just had a whole program (We did) praying for people who wanted to give up cigarette smoking. And I’m not, don’t misunderstand me, I’m not against smoking for a religious reason. It has nothing to do with religion. (That’s right, it’s your lungs.) I don’t, I’m interested in saving your lungs.

I’m not against cigarette smoking. I’m against lung cancer. (That’s right) The number one cause for lung cancer in the United States is cigarette smoking. And I don’t believe that, you know, you’re going to go to hell because you smoke. No, you’re going to smell like you’ve been there. You know, it’s not going to keep you out of heaven.

Your body is the temple of the Holy Spirit. You need to take care of your body.

Baby of Faith by Richard Roberts

Baby of Faith by Richard Roberts

Richard Roberts: Well, she cries every once in a while. She cries when you
change her pants.

LR: That’s the only time she cries. Don’t tell that, she’ll
live to be embarrassed.

RR: Jordan Lindsay was the 376th baby born here in the
childbirth center here at the City of Faith, but now, you know,
it doesn’t just stop just because Richard Roberts and Lindsay have a baby
up there. It goes on. Now 407 babies have been born in the
childbirth center.

LR: The girls are way ahead.

RR: No, the boys are ahead. The boys are ahead.

LR: Sounded good.

RR: 218 boys and 189 girls, the boys are still ahead. So we had
a little girl so the little girls could catch up a little bit.

LR: That’s right, I told you I would.

RR: Jordan Lindsay is fine. She’s at home and I’m certainly
glad that Lindsay is back on the program. She was off for nearly
two weeks resting and recuperating and slimming down.

LR: That’s right, working on it.

RR: Well, we’re here live in front of the City of Faith.
Lindsay, this is the first program we’ve done outside.

LR: That’s right. It’s interesting. But it sure is inspiring
with the hands to the left of us and the City of Faith behind us.

RR: What’s interesting is how slim you’re getting.

LR: Oh, you’re so sweet. I’ll give you a kiss for that.

RR: I receive that. (Thank you) If you hadn’t heard, when I
came in this morning a woman said, “When are you and Lindsay
going to have that baby?” I said, “Haven’t you heard? We had a
little girl two weeks ago yesterday. Little Jordan Lindsay was
born, eight pounds, six ounces. But I’ve got good news, she doesn’t weigh eight pounds, six ounces anymore. She’s
eating like a horse.

LR: Now, Richard.

RR: And growing and growing and growing. Last night I was
feeding her and–

LR: She’s big.

RR: And she was big and she was doing all those things that
babies do. You know, she has a certain sound that she makes–

LR: She doesn’t cry, she just sort of moans.

Daybreak by Richard Roberts

Daybreak by Richard Roberts

All the doctors, all the nurses, the prayer partners, are joined together to put prayer and medicine together. And we thought we’d just come out here and have our live television program in front of the City of Faith. The weather was so beautiful. In fact, it’s been beautiful weather this week in Oklahoma. There’s not a cloud in the sky and the temperature is, well it’s not really, it’s not cool but it’s not warm. It’s just right. It’s just right. And if you don’t like the weather in Oklahoma, just stay around a few minutes. It will change. And it’s early enough this morning.

The wind isn’t blowing yet. Richard Roberts remember when Billy Graham came to dedicate Oral Roberts University back in ‘67, back when I was, well I was still, I was, well let’s see, where was I? That was the year that I had, I was a freshman at another university.

That was before I had transferred here to complete my education at Oral Roberts University. And there were some 20,000 people on the ORU grounds, as Billy Graham dedicated the campus and the wind was blowing a hurricane. And Billy said to my dad, “Oral, does it always blow like this in Oklahoma?”

And my dad responded, “No, sometimes it blows harder.” We get lots of wind in Oklahoma. And I’ll tell you what else is blowing today, the wind of the Holy Spirit is blowing through this program to touch your life. To let you know that God can turn things around in your life, no matter what it’s like. My special guest today is Evangelist Terry Law, a graduate of Oral Roberts University, who has just returned from a fantastic healing mission in Singapore in the Orient. And he’s going to share that with you.

He’s a graduate of Oral Roberts University, really part of our family as
a Regent from Oral Roberts University. But right now the Oral Roberts University Singers and I, Richard Roberts,  want to minister in song, a song about this day and about how the Holy Spirit can get into your life. This song is called “Daybreak,” so listen as we sing.
